The

St Paul's (Central), Moorgate (Circle, Metropolitan, Northern),
Bank/Monument (Central, Northern, Waterloo and City, Docklands

The

Admission
Anyone can use the CII Library. Admission is
free to CII and SOFA members and there is a scale of admission
charges for non-members. If you are not a member and wish
to use the library a lot you might find it worthwhile joining
the CII. You don't have to pass exams to be a member.
If you are a librarian or information officer you can subscribe
to the library
instead.

Services
Printed resources
Most of the collections are open access and you
can browse the shelves at leisure. Please note that some older
material is held off site and may take a day to retrieve for
you (look out for shelfmarks beginning 9.9).
Electronic
resources
A wide range of electronic resources is available for use
in the library on CD-ROM or hard disk. These include searchable
legal services like All England law reports and
Current legal information; databases like ID.se@rch
(the online version of the UK Insurance directory);
and the Insurance market reports from Axco, a series
of in-depth surveys covering over 125 countries, each regularly
updated. Subject to copyright, you can print from all these
services.
Computer
based training
Interactive training packages are available for use in the
library on many CII examination subjects. There is a charge
of £1.50 per 30 minutes. Click here

Internet
access
Free Internet access is provided on three public workstations.
Library
database
You can search the library database (as you can on CII Library
Online) and obtain printouts of search results.
Enquiries
Professional staff are on hand to provide assistance.
Photocopying
A self-service photocopier is available in the library. This
accepts all coins as well as cards which can be bought at
the counter.
