The
CII Library is a specialist library dedicated to insurance,
risk and related financial services. It is the largest library
of its kind in the UK and one of the largest in the world.
Subjects covered include all branches of insurance, risk management,
loss prevention, civil liability, shipping, aviation, pensions,
investment and other financial services. The collection is
international, with extensive holdings from all parts of the
world in addition to a large collection of UK material that
includes virtually everything ever published in the UK on
insurance.

of insurance history. A
guide to the historical collections. Free to members, £5 to
non-members.
The
CII authority file. The CII authority file provides
a controlled indexing vocabulary of around 3000 insurance
and related terms, with a complete network of "see" and "see
also" references. Available in end-user or MARC21 format.
Electronic
only (text file). £300 plus VAT for single users, network

The
CII classification scheme.
The second edition of the CII classification scheme
has been developed specifically for use in an automated environment.
Covering insurance and related subjects, it contains approximately
1700 class numbers plus an introduction. Approximately 150
pages. Print version £100, UK postage free. Electronic version
(Microsoft Word 97) £100 plus VAT for single users, network
prices on application.
